Rest, Relax, Reflect and Remember at the Lake Road Community Garden

Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and step into the tranquil oasis of our community garden.  Nestled in the heart of our neighbourhood, this beautiful space is designed to offer a peaceful retreat where our patients and staff can unwind, connect with nature, and find a moment of serenity.

A Place to Rest and Recharge

Whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to enjoy your morning coffee, read a book, or simply soak in the sights and sounds of nature, our garden provides the perfect setting.  A comfortable seating area invites you to linger, while vibrant flower beds offer a picturesque, relaxing backdrop.

Reflect and Connect

The community garden isn’t just a place of solitude; it’s also a space for reflection and connection. The garden was created in memory of Stephen, a Practice pharmacist who sadly passed away. Steve liked to sit in the area of the garden, and the Practice, patients, and wider community are now working together to transform this space into a wonderful garden. The garden will be a place to find inspiration, engage in a friendly chat with others, or just spend some time in quiet reflection.

Working together to transform the space

With seasonal blooms, native plants, and fragrant herbs, we want our garden to reflect the best of nature.  With the help of volunteer gardeners, people, and organisations that donate plants and materials, it is hoped that the garden can be transformed into something special.

Get involved and help make this space unique

We are actively seeking support from volunteers who can assist with planting and gardening work. We are also reaching out to the horticultural and business communities to donate goods and services. The Cranborne Practice GP, Dr Nikki Scott, is leading the project.

We are preparing a list of items to help us complete the garden.  If you can assist, we will be extremely grateful and recognise your contribution to the garden, and you can also be assured you will be helping out patients and staff.
