Before you are pregnant . . .

If you think you are pregnant . . .

If you have just found out you are pregnant, you do not need to see your GP to start your maternity care. In Dorset, you can refer yourself directly to the midwifery team

The NHS Healthier Together website is an online guide to maternity options and services in Dorset.  If you are pregnant and over 6 weeks, you will need to self-refer directly to the midwifery team.  For more information on options and services in Dorset - including how to self-refer, please visit the Healthier Together website.

Full antenatal care and postnatal care is provided by doctors and the community midwives. Please ask at reception for further details.

Our health visitors also run antenatal and parent craft classes.
